Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program
The Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) is a Federally funded (Department of Labor) focusing on reintegrating veterans experiencing homelessness who are unemployed or under employed into meaningful long term gainful employment.
This is accomplished by providing employment training services and supportive services while helping to manage possible barriers to employment.
We offer activities and services that are in line with your work goals while helping you get a job. Services may include:
- Job Training services
- Course certification
- Career planning
- Job placement and retention
- Financial counseling
- Transportation assistance, for example, bus passes
- Support for supplies needed for work, for example, work clothes and tools.
- Short-term child care support assistance
- Short-term housing assistance/referrals
Eligibility
Homeless U.S. veterans or U.S. veterans at risk of being homeless with discharges other than dishonorable are, in general, eligible.
HVRP is offered in the following counties:
Adams, Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Buffalo, Burnet, Chippewa, Clark, Crawford, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Florence, Forest, Grant, Iron, Jackson, Juneau, Lacrosse, Langdale, Lincoln, Marathon, Monroe, Oneida, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Price, Protage, Richland, Rusk, Sawyer, St Croix, Taylor, Trempealeau, Vernon, Vilas, Washburn, & Wood
