WRI can help you navigate through this challenging process by connecting you with appropriate contacts, identifying resources that can help your company and your workers, and assisting with the development and implementation of a transition strategy.

Services are tailored to meet the company's and workers' needs. Many services are funded through the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA) and are offered at no cost to you or your workers. For services not offered through WIOA, speak to your Business Service professional to find out how we can meet your needs. Early involvement is essential to helping workers prepare to re-enter the workforce as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

Rapid Response Services include:

Career Planning and Personal Counseling: Counseling and assistance with career decision-making, developing job goals and personal planning to achieve employment goals. Assessment of skills, abilities, and interests to assist in discovering or confirming a person's direction in the labor market.

Training and Retraining: Payment for the cost of approved part-time training to update skills or for full-time training to acquire skills in a new field. Adult continuing education to improve reading, writing, math or study skills or earn a GED. On-the-job training can be provided by employers in need of workers with specific skills. Employers are reimbursed for costs of training.

Job Seeking and Skills Workshops: Training in the methods of seeking employment in today's economy. This includes assistance in preparing resumes and cover letters, learning and practicing interview skills and learning the techniques of successful networking.

Job Clubs: Regular meetings with jobs seekers to carry on the work of job search, check current job openings, and discuss job search issues.

Support Services: Limited funds are available for payment of expenses such as child care andtransportation to enable participants to achieve employment or training goals.

Placement Services: Program staff assist participants in accessing the local job market and locate job openings.
